Where We Started

Our Story

Dr. Landlord was founded in 2003 and introduced to the public in 2006, installed from a CD, running on Windows, built for one real property management practice. It worked, for years, the way software worked back then. In 2026 it came back: rebuilt from the ground up as a real web application, not a coat of paint on the old one.

The screens below are the actual original software next to the actual current app, nothing staged. Same job (a landlord’s whole practice on one screen), twenty-three years and a full rebuild apart.

Track the money

Why keep the name

Because the practice didn’t change. Properties, tenants, rent, maintenance, vendors, reporting: it’s the same job it was in 2006, just run from a browser instead of a desktop, with AI-assisted triage doing some of the reading for you now.
